We are grateful to the organizations that have welcomed us. Sharing the knowledge gained is essential for achieving a common goal: ensuring that people with disabilities can enjoy a full and freely chosen life.
Madrid, October 2024- During July and August, we traveled across Spain to meet with various pioneering organizations in the supported employment methodology. Our thanks to CEOM (Murcia), ASINDOWN (Valencia), Fundación Tas (Sevilla), Laborvalía (Ciudad Real), Prodis (Madrid), AMIAB (Albacete), and Aura Fundació (Barcelona). It has been very rewarding that these organizations shared their experiences and expertise with Promoters Project. Sharing knowledge is crucial to paving the way for the organizations that follow.
We are excited about Promoters becoming a reference project in the field of employability for people with intellectual disabilities in companies through the supported employment methodology. A first step is disseminating best practices to identify what works best and how to address potential challenges. We aim to create scalable supported employment models so that more and more people with intellectual disabilities can enjoy their rights and become the protagonists of their decisions.
We understand that unemployment is a barrier that hinders the exercise of other fundamental rights, such as the right to independent living. Promoters Project seeks to contribute solutions that reduce the employment gap between people with and without disabilities.
